Seven-cap Morocco international Achraf Dari returned to Stade Brestois at the beginning of this season after spending the second half of the 2023/24 campaign away from Ligue 1, in Belgium with Royal Charleroi SC, after only making four appearances for the French side.
Having struggled to impose himself within Brest, the Casablanca native also failed to assert himself in Belgium as a consequence of injuries he suffered.
With the 25-year-old having now returned to France, it seems he is no longer in the plans of head coach Eric Roy and is now believed to be returning to Africa.
Prior to making his move to Stade Francis-Le Ble in 2022, Dari was at Wydad where he was successful, helping the team claim three league titles and the 2021/22 CAF Champions League.
According to reports, as per Le Site Info Sports, the Red Castle were keen on bringing the central defender back to the club, but he has instead chosen to make the move to Al Ahly.
Fans of the record Moroccan champions are believed to be extremely angry with their former star as it is believed they wanted him to defend the club's badge.
