Sekhukhune & AmaZulu Announce Technical Team Changes

Sekhukhune & AmaZulu Announce Technical Team Changes

Sekhukhune United have officially introduced their new-look technical team for the 2024/25 season, while AmaZulu FC have made a surprising announcement for their coaching department.

As reported by the Siya crew yesterday, Lehlohonolo Seema was spotted at Babina Noko as part of the club's preparations for the start of the Premiership next month.

The club has now confirmed that Seema has been reinstated as the head coach and will be assisted by Kaitano Tembo.

The club's changes come after the sudden departure of German coach Peter Hyballa who resigned from his position as the head coach last weekend.

In confirming the latest developments, Sekhukhune issued the following statement:

"In preparation for the new and exciting 2024/25 Betway Premiership season and to meet the demands of another CAF Confederation Cup campaign, Sekhukhune United have made some changes to the technical team," confirmed the club in a statement.

"We are therefore delighted to welcome back to the fold as the Head Coach Lehlohonolo Seema. He will be joined on the bench by another familiar face, in Kaitano Tembo. The latter fills the Senior Coach position vacated by MacDonald Makhubedu, who will take up the role of Babina Noko's Sporting Director," confirmed the club.

"Completing the technical team line-up are Assistant Coach Paulus Masehe and Nascent Nkhwashu who retains his position as Goalkeeper Coach," concludes the club's statement.

Meanwhile AmaZulu FC have named Vusumuzi Vilakazi as their new DDC head coach.

Vilakazi recently parted ways with Richards Bay FC after he was initially meant to lead the side to the new season, having saved them from relegation at the end of last season.

"We are pleased to announce the appointment of Vusimuzi Vilakazi as our new Diski Team Head Coach for the 2024/25 season. 'Kanu' as he is affectionately known, joins us with a wealth of experience, having previously excelled at both the DDC level and Premiership level. We are confident that his expertise and vision will greatly benefit our team. We extend our best wishes to Vusimuzi as he embarks on this new journey with us," said AmaZulu in their official statement confirming the appointment.
