New Season Start Confirmed, Fixtures Revealed!

The roster for the 2024/25 Premiership season has been announced by the Premier Soccer League.

Following last month's announcement by PSL chairman Irvin Khoza that Betway are the new sponsors of the Premier Division, having taken over from Multichoice subsidiary DStv, it was indicated that the League is expected to start on September 14.

The PSL has now officially confirmed the fixtures for the eagerly awaited 2024/25 season.

"The Betway Premiership will kick-off on the weekend of 14 and 15 September 2024. The opening day on Saturday, 14 September, will feature six matches, with an additional two fixtures scheduled for Sunday, 15 September," confirmed the PSL in a statement.

"The season opener will feature a thrilling Tshwane Derby, with defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns facing their cross-town rivals SuperSport United. Other key Saturday afternoon fixtures include Royal AM vs. Cape Town City, Orlando Pirates vs. Chippa United, and Marumo Gallants vs. Kaizer Chiefs," stated the League.

"Saturday evening will see Polokwane City take on AmaZulu FC, while Sekhukhune United hosts newly promoted Magesi FC in the first Limpopo derby of the season. On Sunday, Richards Bay FC will go up against TS Galaxy, followed by a clash between Stellenbosch FC and Lamontville Golden Arrows to wrap up the opening weekend's action. The final block of Betway Premiership fixtures is scheduled for Saturday, 24 May 2025," concluded the League's statement.

Saturday, 14 September 2024

Mamelodi Sundowns v SuperSport United at Loftus Versfeld from 15:00

Royal AM v Cape Town City at Harry Gwala Stadium from 15:00

Orlando Pirates v Chippa United at Orlando Stadium from 17:30

Marumo Gallants v Kaizer Chiefs at Toyota Stadium from 17:30

Polokwane City v AmaZulu FC at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium from 20:00

Sekhukhune United v Magesi FC at New Peter Mokaba Stadium from 20:00
