Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly at odds with the club over a certain transfer decision.

The Spanish giants have welcomed both Kylian Mbappe and Endrick to Madrid ahead of the 2024/25 season, although there were also plans to bring in Bayern Munich's Alphonso Davies and a centre-back.
While Davies appears set to remain in Germany at least for another year, Ancelotti is believed to have been told that signing a central defender is not currently in the board's plans.
The Italian is said to feel that, after Real's failure to land Leny Yoro, the centre-back who joined Manchester United earlier in the window, back-up in that area is necessary.
The Athletic reports that those in charge of recruitment at the 15-time UEFA Champions League winners disagree with Ancelotti's stance as they feel the squad is strong enough to once again compete on all fronts.
This means Real are likely to start the new campaign with just two fit senior centre-backs – Antonio Rudiger and Eder Militao – with David Alaba still recovering from a long-term injury and Jesus Vallejo having battled to impress in pre-season.

Young defender Joan Martinez, meanwhile, did well in Real's friendlies, but will be sidelined for a significant period after recently suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
