The story
Bafana Bafana striker, Lyle Foster, endured a tough 2023/24 season with Burnley, who were relegated from the English Premier League in their first season back from the English Championship.
Foster was one of Vincent Kompany's bright sparks at the start of last season, as he found his goal scoring form early in the campaign, managing eight goal contributions in 24 Premier League games as a whole.
The 23-year-old was suffered a mental health set back and missed two months of the season, as well as the Africa Cup of Nations as a result.
Despite his ongoing issues with mental health, it didn't stop Foster from trying to galvanise his teammates during a unfavourable run of results that contributed to their relegation.
In a clip taken from the behind-the-scenes, four-part documentary series by Sky, "Mission to Burnley", Foster is seen making his way down from the stands to the change-room to lay into his teammates about their performances on the pitch.
Foster's f-word-filled speech saw him question the effort of his teammates, the lack of team spirit and stated how they, as a team, should be embarrassed with the performances on a weekly basis.
The passionate speech rubbed club captain at the time, Jack Cork the wrong, resulting in the two having a war of words in the change room.
