The story
Nasreddine Nabi's side suffered a 4-0 thrashing at the Toyota Stadium at the hands of his former club, Young Africans (Yanga) on Sunday afternoon.
Yanga scored four unanswered goals, curtesy of a Stephane Aziz Ki double, and strikes by Prince Dube and Clement Mzize, handing the Tanzanians the inaugural Toyota Cup at a sold-out Free State Stadium on Sunday.
This friendly was Nabi's first game in charge of Amakhosi on South African soil since joining the Glamour Boys early this month during their pre-season tour to Türkiye.
Nabi showed faith in Amakhosi's rising stars by awarding academy graduates; Nkosana Mbuthu, Mfundo Vilakazi, Samkelo Zwane and Mduduzi Shabalala with starting berths, with the glaring inexperience showing heavily in Chiefs' crushing defeat over the weekend.
