Rulani Mokwena's Wydad Athletic Club is reportedly one of the African sides being considered for Young Africans' 89th anniversary match.

Yanga's Wananchi Day is when they unveil the club's newest signings to their supporters and start building hype around the upcoming season.
They top the festivities off by playing a major non-Tanzanian side at their home ground, the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
Prior to the commencement of last season, the Jangwani Street giants played Betway Premiership side Kaizer Chiefs, and it seems they will likely play another African juggernaut ahead of the new campaign.
According to The Citizen, record Moroccan champions Wydad and five-time CAF Champions League winners TP Mazembe are the two teams in line to play the Tanzanian champions on their anniversary.
The same report claims that Yanga originally wanted to play against Russian outfit CSKA Moscow, but due to commitments the European club has in its league, the Premier Liga, they were able to make it.
Now it is reportedly between Wydad and TP Mazembe, but while Mokwena's charges may be in contention to play the pre-season encounter, it seems it is the Congolese side who are the likeliest at the moment.

Neither team is yet to give an official answer, but it is understood that positive talks have been held with both sides, and an announcement will be made imminently.
