At the time of his passing, Tshabalala was 75, and had been fighting to recover from the injuries he suffered during a shooting incident at his home in Gauteng in March this year.

Bra Stan, as the man who was the father of the late former kwaito star Tokollo 'Magesh' Tshabalala was fondly known, has been a distinguished figure in South African football, having seen and done it all in the various aspects of the local game.

He was the first coach for Bafana Bafana and has served the Big Three in different roles during his illustrious career, including coaching.

Below are some of the messages of condolences to the Tshabalala family and the football fraternity during this difficult period.

From Mamelodi Sundowns on the club's official X account:

As the person who introduced the shoe-shine-and-piano brand of football, Screamer's legacy, life and memory will be celebrated beyond the football fraternity.

The enormous contribution made by the much loved and jovial Screamer Tshabalala in sport, will forever be celebrated. We pray that the Almighty comforts and strengthens the Tshabalala family, his friends and colleagues.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.

Former Pirates striker James Eugene Mothibi, in his message to the Siya crew:

My deepest condolences to the family of Mr Stanley Tshabalala. May the love and support of those around you bring comfort during this difficult time.

May the cherished memories of Bra Stan bring solace and peace to your hearts.

With heavy hearts, we share your grief, may the departed soul rest in peace.

May God grant you strength and courage to navigate this challenging period. May the soul of your loved one rest in eternal peace.

May the Almighty comfort you and your family, and may the departed soul find eternal rest.

May the Lord be your refuge and strength during this difficult time. May the soul of your loved one be at peace.

May the love and legacy of your loved one inspire you to find strength and move forward.

Hold on to the memories and cherish the time you had together. May they bring you comfort and peace.

May the support of loved ones and the power of your faith carry you through this difficult time.

The first time I met Bra Stan was at Southgate Mall in one of the restaurants. He came there driving with Chairman Irvin Khoza.

Bra Stan and the chairman were very close. One thing I know about Bra Stan is that he was always guiding young soccer players and gave them advice. He liked jokes. I'm shattered.

Soccer Laduma conveys heartfelt condolences to the Tshabalala family, Orlando Pirates, the entire football fraternity, and everyone affected by the passing of this giant of Mzansi football.
