Word coming out of Iraq is that Mamelodi Sundowns have a candidate working in their country who could possibly take over as head coach.
According to Yalla Kora, DStv Premiership champions Sundowns have enquired through a Tunisian agent over the availability of Moamen Soliman, who is currently in charge of Iraqi side Al-Shorta.

It's understood that Soliman's contract with Al-Shorta is set to expire in June 2025 and Sundowns have made enquires, though there has been nothing formal on the table. The 50-year-old Soliman has experience from the Egyptian Premier League, Libya and Iraq.
The website quoted a source, stating the following: "The agent contacted Moamen Soliman and informed him that his name was on the table of candidates to lead Sundowns. Moamen Soliman is also receiving interest from a number of Tunisian and Algerian clubs, but he preferred to postpone deciding his future until after the Iraq Cup final."
Following the departure of Rulani Mokwena as head coach last week, Sundowns have been linked with a few foreign coaches, including former Al Ahly mentor Patrice Carteron and ex-Orlando Pirates coach Josef Zinnbauer, who had an invincible season with champions Raja Casablanca.

As things stand, however, Manqoba Mngqithi is the one leading the team ahead of the new campaign and he is being assisted by Steve Komphela, who has returned to Chloorkop as senior coach.
It's unclear if Sundowns are happy to go into the new season with Mngqithi as the main man in charge, but recent talk of different coaches taking over could mean that the Tshwane giants are indeed on the lookout for someone who can come in and lead them to success, especially in the CAF Champions League.
