There is no move to Orlando Pirates that is being considered for Mamelodi Sundowns keeper Reyaad Pieterse in this winter transfer window, Siya sources have indicated.
Pirates finished the 2023/24 season understood to be assessing options about possibly strengthening their goalkeeping department, and a few goalkeepers have been linked with the club, including Chippa United's Stanley Nwabali and Veli Mothwa from AmaZulu.

Following the Buccaneers' release of Siyabonga Mpontshane and Richard Ofori, Pieterse's name has been bandied about regarding a potential move to the club.
The 32-year-old has struggled for game time at Sundowns since joining in 2018 from SuperSport United.
The lanky former Kaizer Chiefs keeper is the third-choice at the Brazilians, having played two matches last season, and only 21 overall for the club in six years.

"Despite the two guys (Mpontshane and Ofori) leaving, Pirates still have two good goalkeepers in the guys that have been playing, Sipho Chaine and (Melusi) Buthelezi. Also, there are good youngsters that have been coming through the ranks, including the new signings (Bayanda Thabethe and Ethan Visagie), and therefore there is no pressure about that department," said the Siya source.
Meanwhile, Pirates travelled to Spain last night for their pre-season tour without announcing any signings apart from Angolan attacker, Gilberto.
