The story
In efforts to help grow the Mamelodi Sundowns brand, the club has been sending their 2023/24 home jersey on a bit of a World Tour.
After making a stop at this year's Super Bowl in Las Vegas, where the Kansas City Chiefs overcame the San Francisco 49ers and a visit to Wembley Stadium, where Gareth Southgate's England went down to Brazil, the Downs jersey is on the road again!
Masandawana shared a video of fans uplifting the Sundowns name in New York, where the parts of the group stages of the ongoing ICC Men's T20 World Cup took place.
Like we've seen in their stops to Vegas and London, fans from all walks held up the Sundowns home jersey and showed appreciation for the club's presense in New York.
The Sundowns media team and the jersey was stationed outside the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium during a Proteas game and they managed to bump into a number of South Africans residing in the Big Apple.
