Agent Mike Makaab has spoken about Fortune Makaringe's need to get game time, as he officially revealed that there has been talks with Cape Town City for the player.
Makaringe's five-year spell with the Buccaneers came to an end recently as the Buccaneers announced that the 31-year-old would no longer be a member of their squad. The final season in a Bucs shirt saw him making just 14 appearances in all competitions, which was five less than the previous campaign.

Towards the end of his spell with the Buccaneers, life was not easy for Makaringe, who spent more time either on the bench or in the stands watching his teammates getting the business done.
It's believed Makaringe has already penned a deal with Cape Town City, who are expected to make an announcement in the near future, along with Kamohelo Mokotjo.
"The relationship between Fortune (Makaringe) and Orlando Pirates goes way before he became an Orlando Pirates player. He was an avid supporter of the club. When he got the opportunity to move to Pirates, it was a dream come true. But like everything in life, one has to sit back and be brutally honest about reality and Fortune understands that he has played an important role at the football club and the football club understands that. Fortune also understands that he is not getting any younger and, therefore, it's important for him to play and have game time, and I think the football club understands that as well," Makaab said to the Siya crew.
"It was a situation that was agreed upon by both parties and it could not have been a better ending. Honestly, I've been involved in the industry for close to three decades and I've seen some very tough endings. But in this particular case, it was very special."
Speaking about Makaringe's next move, Makaab confirmed that there has been talks with the Citizens, but would not say if a deal has already been signed.

"Cape Town City are one of the interested parties. We have had initial discussions with them, but we've also had discussions with other football clubs. With Fortune, I am hoping within the next week or two that we will have finalised a new deal for him. It's very much on the cards."
