The latest reports claim Tottenham Hotspur midfielder James Maddison has not made the final cut for England's Euro squad.
According to The Athletic journalist David Ornstein, the 27-year-old has left the group after being informed of Southgate's decision.
The former Leicester City playmaker was selected in the manager's 33-man provisional team ahead of the tournament and played 30 minutes in their 3-0 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina on Monday.
Maddison enjoyed an impressive start to the 2023/24 season at Spurs until an injury kept him sidelined between November and January.
The player's exclusion means his wait to make an appearance at an international tournament goes on, after he did not play at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar despite being selected.
The midfielder has featured only seven times for England since his debut in 2019.
