In what could be one of the biggest free-agent transfers of all time, France captain Kylian Mbappe has officially bid farewell to Paris Saint-Germain to sign for Real Madrid. With Los Blancos having not paid a fee for his signature, it is believed the 25-year-old will receive a significant signing-on bonus, which is expected to be paid to him over the course of his five-year contract in Madrid.
Speaking about his move to the 15-time UEFA Champions League winners this week, the ex-Monaco forward told reporters he was relieved to have finally joined Real and controversially claimed PSG chiefs had told him he would not play for the club again after he informed them of his desire to run his deal down. The French giants are since said to be angered by his statements.
