Despite the ongoing discussions between the Bafana Bafana striker's representatives and the club, a resolution has yet to be reached, leaving Lepasa's future uncertain.

Siya sources close to the situation have indicated that while negotiations for a new contract have been initiated, the outcome remains undecided.
"For now it's like a touch and go situation for Zakes (Zakhele Lepasa) as far as his contract is concerned. No one is sure whether he will renew his stay or not. But the fact is that he signed a five-year contract in 2019 and it's ending at the end of the current season and there is nothing on the table yet," said the Siya source.
"But you are aware, Pirates have their own way in terms of how they operate but right now time is running out for Lepasa. And mind you, the team is also inquiring about other strikers and that could have a baring in his contract as well," the source observed.
Adding to the complexity of Lepasa's situation is the reported interest from SuperSport United, a club familiar with the striker, having taken him on loan in the past.
"You know SuperSport United have shown interest and we are not sure whether it will involve a Thalente Mbatha deal or not. We don't know. So for now it's either he waits for a new contract from Pirates or he waits to find a new club when the new season kicks off. So it is like a long wait for him," the source concluded.
The 27-year-old striker has made 15 DStv Premiership league appearances this season, scoring three goals. Though he has also played in eight cup games, out of which he has a great record of scoring seven goals.
However, the latter part of this season has seen Lepasa overshadowed by Tshegofatso Mabasa, who returned from a loan spell at Moroka Swallows in January, further complicating Lepasa's position within the team.
As the clock ticks down on Lepasa's contract, the striker faces a critical decision regarding his future. With Pirates exploring other striking options and SuperSport potentially waiting in the wings, Lepasa's next move will be closely watched. The coming weeks will be crucial in determining whether he remains with the Buccaneers or embarks on a new chapter elsewhere.
On Saturday, Pirates visit TS Galaxy in the DStv Premiership at Mbombela Stadium at 3 pm. Bucs are a point behind Stellenbosch FC in the league and with two games to go, will hope for maximum points to overtake the Western Cape side to qualify for the Caf Champions League.
