The Siya crew has been informed that Edson Castillo's long-term future at Kaizer Chiefs remains undecided, with an exit from the club a possibility at this point.
The 29-year-old started his life at Chiefs like a house on fire, scoring five goals in all competitions as he made the midfield position his own at Naturena. He has made 26 appearances in all competitions for the Glamour Boys this season.
He has also been able to maintain his place in the Colombian national team, to which he has received consistent call-ups this season. Despite his bright start to life at Chiefs, the Siya crew has gotten wind of talk of a possible exit from the club, with indications that the player's camp is looking for a challenge outside Naturena.
"There is talk of the player possibly leaving Chiefs. There is a lot of interest in his services from abroad and the club are aware of this," a source informed the Siya crew.
The player, who turns 30 next month, joined Amakhosi on a two-year-deal, which included an option to extend for a further year – though it remains to be seen if he will see out his contract with Amakhosi.
