Earlier this week, the Siya Crew revealed that Jaden Adams' transfer from the Cape Winelands outfit to reigning DStv Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns was all but complete, with the midfielder expected to join the Brazilians at the end of the season.
Despite the Stellies hierarchy and coach Steve Barker emphasising that their star player was not for sale, indications are that his head was turned by the sizeable transfer fee tabled by the Chloorkop outfit.
The 22-year-old had penned a new and improved long-term contract with Stellies. The exact details around the transfer remain sketchy at this point, but indications are that Adams is likely to put pen to paper on a long-term deal.
Siya sources have subsequently revealed that the transfer fee agreed between the two clubs is in the region of around R20 million.
The Crew has learnt that a possible player exchange could form part of the deal as the finer details are yet to ironed out before the end of the season.
Stellies, the Siya Crew has been informed, have identified Grant Margeman as a possible addition to the club, while the capture of Sanele Barns on a pre-contract from Richards Bay has already been confirmed.
