As SuperSport United work toward strengthening their squad for next season, they are believed to have made inquires about an Orlando Pirates player, the Siya crew has been informed.
Siya sources close to both Pirates and SuperSport have indicated that the club may be interested in Thabang Monare.

The sources added that at the moment both clubs are busy looking at a solution for next season.
"It would be a reunion of player and former coach as Monare played under Gavin Hunt at BidVest Wits. I think it's him who is influencing the move as well," said the Siya source.
"That would actually be a good move for SuperSport United as they need more experienced players at the team. They have more youngsters who need guidance and they feel Thabang (Monare) could add that value to the team," the source told Soccer Laduma.
A second Siya source added that Matsatsantsa a Pitori could bring in the midfielder on a free as his contract at Pirates comes to an end in June.
"By 30th June he will be a free agent and if all goes well that would mean SuperSport United could get him as a free agent. But as it stands now there is no new deal agreed upon yet between Pirates and Monare which means SuperSport United would get him for free at the end of the season," the source explained.
The 34-year-old Bafana Bafana midfielder has played only 11 PSL games for Bucs so far this season. He joined the team in 2020 from the now defunct BidVest Wits.
Soccer Laduma contacted SuperSport United and Orlando Pirates for comments but no response was received by the time this story was published.
