DStv Premiership champions, Mamelodi Sundowns, are expected to make a call on the future of Sifiso Ngobeni in the coming months.
Ngobeni is currently on loan to AmaZulu, where he has made just one appearance for the KZN outfit, in a clash against Cape Town Spurs in February. The former Bloemfontein Celtic player joined Usuthu during the January transfer window, looking to get more game time having struggled to do so since joining Sundowns before the beginning of last season.
But he is yet to break into the AmaZulu starting line-up on a regular basis, with Riaan Hanamub being the first choice left back for head coach Pablo Franco Martin.
Some time away from the club will give both the player and Sundowns to think about what happens next in his career, with an exit not being ruled out. With competition at left back, which now includes Divine Lunga, Ngobeni is unlikely to get many opportunities in the future.
Ngobeni, who has previously been on loan to SuperSport United, is expected to return to Chloorkop when his loan spell with Usuthu comes to an end, but discussions will be held on whether or not he stays at Chloorkop for the 2024/25 campaign.
There is a possibility that he could leave Sundowns again. It's unclear at this stage if it would be on loan or permanently.
