What's the story?
We may be several months away from the official reveal of EA Sports' upcoming football title, EA Sports FC 25, but there's already speculation of an exciting new feature coming to this year's game.
EA FC 25 is reportedly set to feature a complete AI overhaul that will impact multiple areas of the game, including the popular career mode, pro clubs, and Volta Football.
An exclusive report from Sports Gamer Online mentioned that the rumoured AI overhaul will see AI players become more intelligent than in previous titles and will even adapt accordingly to different situations on the pitch.
"The AI will now read danger from incoming counterattacks and adjust its defensive tactics depending on the situation and past events.
"In EA FC 24, AI players act differently in career mode and anticipate the player's next move reasonably well. However, in Pro Clubs, the computer players run away from attackers, allowing them to run in on goal. With the inconsistent nature of AI players in previous titles, it's great to see that EA Sports is putting more effort into improving this area of the game," wrote Curtis Russell from Sports Gamer.
