Orlando Pirates talent scouts are believed to have identified Sabelo "Sikhali" Ndzinisa, who is currently leading the pack in the Golden Boot race with 15 goals in the eSwatini MTN Premier League, after 19 rounds.
This publication has been informed that Ndzinisa has landed on the radar of Pirates after yet another sterling season, in which he proved his pedigree with two stunning goals as eSwatini handed Somalia a 3-0 pasting in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations preliminary qualifiers in Morocco last week.
Last year, the 32-year-old scored 11 goals and made the same number of assists for his Green Mamba side who went on to win the MTN Premiership and qualified for the CAF Champions League, where they were eliminated by Songo FC from Mozambique.
That performance also attracted the attention of Zambian Premier League side Prison Leopards who opened talks with the eSwatini side but nothing materialised despite the fact that both parties had reached agreement for a transfer.
Although a proven goal scorer, the Siya crew has been informed that while the Pirates talent scouts have no doubt about his abilities, they are, however, pondering on whether he could still deliver due to his age.
The powerful striker turns 33 in July, and this seems to be what has brought doubt within the Pirates talent scouting team who are questioning whether he would continue to deliver at that age even though the likes of Themba Zwane of Mamelodi Sundowns continue to flourish despite being 34 years old.
Back during 2018, Ndzinisa wrote his name in gold letters when he single-handedly destroyed Platinum Stars of Rustenburg when he masterminded a 4-2 triumph for Mbabane Swallows in the CAF Confederation Cup at Somhlolo Stadium as he scored all the goals.
