The England international joined Los Blancos from Borussia Dortmund at the start of the season and opted to wear the No. 5 jersey, a shirt number famously worn by Zidane between 2001 and 2006.
Since arriving in Spain, Bellingham has taken LALIGA by storm, and currently leads the league's goalscoring chart with 16 strikes in 21 appearances.
Quickly becoming recognised as one of the world's leading players at just 20 years old, Zidane has admitted he is a big fan of the former Birmingham City starlet.
"He's an unbelievable player who does incredible things. You could have imagined what he was going to do, but he's surpassed all the statistics with what he's doing," he said in an interview with adidas, as per Mundo Deportivo.
"Don't forget that he's only 20 years old. He arrived at Real Madrid with a lot of desire, a lot of goals and he is setting the bar very high.
"He's just showing everyone what he is and it's great to see him like that. I'm a big fan of his and now we want him to win trophies with Real Madrid. It's everything he wanted for himself."
With 20 strikes across all competitions, Bellingham has already scored more goals in a single season for Los Blancos than Zidane ever did.
