The transfer of Matias Esquivel to Mamelodi Sundowns has officially been confirmed by the Argentine top flight outfit.

With the 24-year-old star having already arrived in South Africa, his former club has confirmed via their official social media handles that he has been sold to the Brazilians.
"Through the present, we inform the transfer of Matías Esquivel to the Mamelodi Sundowns Football Club of South Africa; 10% of the token will remain in the possession of Club Atletico Lanus. As a footballer for the institution, Esquivel has registered 95 games and seven goals in all competitions. We wish Chino, one of the many talents of the youth team, a greatest success in his next professional challenge," the club wrote.

The player is expected to be announced by Sundowns in the near future and with a number of South Americans at the club already, he is expected to hit the ground running when the DStv Premiership resumes in February.
