Jessica’s Bold Promise To Chiefs Fans After ‘Rollercoaster’ Year

Kaizer Chiefs' Marketing Director Jessica Motaung has made a bold promise to the club's ardent supporters following what she describes as a 'rollercoaster' year for the Glamour Boys.

Despite the many challenges facing the club, the biggest of which is the ongoing trophy drought which has entered into its ninth year, there is a lot of optimism around Amakhosi going into the year 2024.

While Cavin Johnson, who was appointed on an interim basis, has seemingly managed to steady the ship on a football front, winning three of his last four matches an indication thereof, the club continue to attract sponsors and strengthen partnerships, which has seen them maintain their status as one of the biggest commercial entities in their field.

A large part of the club's commercial viability is down to Jessica Motaung's innovation and dedication to keeping the brand that is Chiefs aloft. More impressive, is the fact that she has done all of this while carrying out her duties as the Deputy Chairperson of the (ACA) African Club Association.

While Chiefs, along with the rest of the clubs are on a two-month AFCON-enforced break, Motaung has made a bold promise to the club's fans, as they look to reclaim the club's glory days.

"As we enter a new year, Kaizer Chiefs carry the lessons, experiences, and ambitions gained from the past 53 years into 2024. Guided by our single-minded commitment to excellence, our primary goal is to continue building on the successes of the past and set new standards for ourselves and South African football," she told the club's official website.

"This year, we embark on a journey filled with determination and optimism. Our aim is to compete on all fronts, reclaiming our dominance in both domestic and international competitions. We strive to strengthen our squad, invest in talent development, and embrace tactical innovations, all aligned with the rich legacy of Kaizer Chiefs."

Motaung has also taken time to wish Bafana Bafana good luck ahead of their AFCON journey.

"We wish our national men's senior team Bafana Bafana all the best as they will be participating in the 2024 Afcon competition. As South Africans, we should all be behind our national team from 13 January to 11 February.

"We do trust that Bafana Bafana to do well so we can reclaim our position of being among the top teams in Africa. We certainly believe that the boys will emulate Banyana Banyana who lifted the Wafcon trophy in 2022," she concluded.
