Earlier this week, the Red Devils were involved in an enthralling cup tie as it took extra-time for the north African juggernauts to get the better of the budding Egyptian side.
Goals from new signing Anthony Modeste and Karim Fouad ensured the match did not go to penalties as Ahly bagged a 4-2 victory.
The win proved a momentous occasion in the career of their Swiss manager too, with the 63-year-old having now made it six titles since joining the Club of the Century in September 2022.
This is the third time the Zurich native has lifted the Egyptian Super Cup, having already won it during the 2021/22 and 2022/23 campaigns.
In the 2021/22 season, he also managed to win the Egyptian Cup, but it was perhaps last season when he won the two most important titles of his career with the north African powerhouse as he lifted the Egyptian Premier League and the CAF Champions League titles.
According to Kora Plus, it took the former Basel boss five less months than it took Mosimane to attain six titles with the club, with the Kagiso native needing one year and eight months to accomplish this feat, and the Swiss claiming it in a period of a year and three months.
While Koller has been able to win the six trophies in quicker time than the former Bafana Bafana head coach, the one trophy Mosimane was able to win that his European counterpart has not yet held aloft is the CAF Super Cup.

Mosimane was triumphant on two occasions with Ahly as far as that trophy is concerned, while Koller was defeated by USM Alger 1-0 earlier in the campaign for this season's iteration.
