On Monday, reports in Italy emerged claiming that the 30-year-old tested positive for testosterone following the Bianconeri's opening Serie A encounter of the campaign.
It has since been confirmed that Pogba has been provisionally banned by Italy's Antidoping Court, with Juventus having acknowledged the punishment in a statement released late on Monday night.
The France international will have three days to produce alternative results, and could be facing a ban of up to four years should authorities find that he took performance-enhancing substances intentionally.
According to Italian journalist Fabiana della Valle, meanwhile, the Old Lady could terminate the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner's deal in Turin if he does not prove the drug test results were untrue.
It is further claimed the club currently believes Pogba did "nothing wrong" and are calm about the situation, with his agent also stating that her client would not have purposely used an illegal substance.
