Reports in Italy claim the Frenchman could be set for a lengthy suspension after failing a drugs test following the Bianconeri's first Serie A match of the campaign.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the 30-year-old tested positive for testosterone after his side's match against Udinese and that he is set to be banned.
It is claimed Pogba will be investigated by the National Anti-Doping Tribunal, who could suspend him from the sport for two years, while it is suggested his ban could be extended by a further two years if it is found he was doping intentionally.
The ex-Manchester United midfielder has battled with injuries since his return to Italy last year, having played made just 12 appearances since the beginning of last season.
Testosterone is a hormone which can help with faster recovery and can be found in multiple injections and gels.
