After rumours suggested that Karim Benzema is already fed up with his manager in Saudi Arabia, his coach made a significant decision ahead of Al Ittihad's match on Thursday night.

Earlier this week, a Saudi news outlet claimed that the ex-Real Madrid forward feels mistreated by Nuno Espirito Santo in the Middle East following his big-money arrival.
Benzema became one of the world's highest-paid footballers when he joined the country's champions and has been considered influential in helping boost the Saudi Pro League's profile since.
The 35-year-old was in action for Al Ittihad on Thursday night as he scored and assisted in their convincing 4-0 victory over Al Riyadh, captaining the team in their third league match of the campaign.

This came after reports suggested Espirito Santo had refused to hand Benzema the armband simply due to his status and experience.
Al Ittihad appeared to do more on social media to clear up rumours of a rift between the manager and the 2022 Ballon d'Or winner, posting a short video on their channels of Benzema captioned "KB9 always happy".

The club's social media team also posted a video on Snapchat of the former Los Blancos man and Espirito Santo talking on the training ground.
