Official: Neymar Joins New Club

Neymar has now officially joined a new club in a big-money deal, ending a tumultuous six-year stint with Paris Saint-Germain in the process.

Brazil's joint all-time top goalscorer has been announced by Saudi Arabia's Al Hilal as their newest and biggest signing yet this off-season, with the 31-year-old having inked a two-year deal with the Blue Wave said to be worth €160 million (R3.3 billion).

The Mogi das Cruzes native now exits Europe following an underwhelming time in the French capital.

While he did score 118 goals in 173 appearances for Les Parisiens, the French giants could only reach the UEFA Champions League semi-finals twice in the six seasons he spent at the Parc des Princes, a competition he was effectively brought in to help them win.

The French giants are believed to have been actively trying to ship the prolific winger out since last year, but struggled to find a suitor willing to take the financial burden that Neymar comes with until the Saudi giants made their offer for his services.

Couple his massive wages with the numerous injuries that have plagued him at crucial parts of the season, and Les Rouge-et-Bleu have decided that now is the right time to part ways with their record transfer signing.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, PSG will receive just under than €100 million (R2 billion) for the Selecao superstar from the Saudi giants.
