Parker launches book at library opening

As part of a community drive spearheaded by entrepreneur TT Mbha, veteran DStv Premiership star Bernard Parker helped with a library handover launch in Mpumalanga.

TT Mbha bought 100 copies of Bernard Parker's new autobiography, which proved to be a huge help in filling the shelves of the newly built library.

Mbha, who's also a good friend of Parker, is aiming to build 100 libraries alongside the Hollywood Foundation. They've already built and unveiled five libraries in Delmas, Mpumalanga.

'Die Hond' was at one of the library openings with teammate Vuyo Mere and Queen Sekhothali Mabhena of the Ndebele Kingdom also in attendance, among other dignitaries.

Not only is Parker involved in a great initiative, it was also a good opportunity for him to promote his book which is reportedly being released today, according to TimesLive.

Parker's book tells a story of how he used football to get his family out of poverty.

"My book is coming out and it's about my life story about where I grew up and my journey with football," Parker said to TimesLive.

"It's mostly directed to dreams, inspiring people to reach for their dreams. No matter the circumstances, the environment or where you come from, you can achieve your dreams. The book is more about inspiration and also how to stay in the top flight in football," he added.
