The 36-year-old led the Herons to an impressive 4-0 victory over Atlanta United in the Leagues Cup at the DRV PNK Stadium in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Messi opened the scoring in the eighth minute before adding a second in the 22nd minute, with his first strike marking a remarkable career achievement.
According to ESPN, the Argentine has now found the net against 100 different clubs since becoming a professional footballer.

The seven-time Ballon d'Or winner was also involved in the Florida-based outfit's other two goals in the tie, playing the pass before the assist for the third and setting up the fourth directly.
