The 32-year-old follows Karim Benzema in joining this past season's Saudi Pro League winners, committing to a three-year deal in the Middle East.
Kante will reportedly be paid a staggering €100 million (R2 billion) at Al Ittihad, after earning just €17 million (R349 million) annually at Chelsea.
It was reported that the ex-Leicester City midfielder had previously been intent on extending his stay at the Blues before being blown away by his new club's lucrative proposal.
