Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Rulani Mokwena has explained why he does not want to make the mistake of buying "new toys" and forgetting older ones at the club.
Sundowns have been known to sign quality players to improve the squad regularly through the seasons but Mokwena has revealed that there won't be a high number of players leaving or coming in because he still wants to improve the players that he currently has.

The young tactician says he learned from his previous stint at Orlando Pirates not to move on from the previous season too early and that he is still analysing matches from last season, to see where they can improve the current players.
"One of the things, as a coach I made a mistake in when I took over from Micho (Milutin Sredojevic) at Pirates, was I tried to press the reset button too early," Mokwena said on The Pitchside Podcast.
"It's like you have a new toy and now you forget about the older one very quickly and that's one of the things we have to be careful of.
"Even though we try to improve the team and of course we'll improve the team with very good players and that's what we're trying to do. That's why there won't be too many players leaving and there won't be too many players coming in," he said.
Mokwena, however, conceded that they will bring in a couple of players who have the qualities they don't have but emphasised the need to improve the current squad through coaching on a daily basis because the team has not reached it's full potential.
"Because it's very difficult to get to the level beyond the level that we already have, in terms of the quality of the players. We've got a very good squad. It's a squad that for sure has certain limitations and we can make it stronger by bringing in one or two players in to give us a little more flexibility," he went on.
"We'll try to bring players that can bring something different to what we have. But at the same time we have to work on a daily basis by improving what we have and that is one of the things I'm saying to myself 'be careful of saying last season's work is not important, last season's team is not important' and you try to rebuild.
"But the team has even more potential. It didn't reach the end of the cycle. It's going into the second year of it's cycle with possibilities to be better. So it needs better coaching," he added.
