Kasi Flavour10 Part 1
Founded by football fanatic and well-rounded creative Kabelo Kungwane, Kasi Flavour10 is a creative agency that takes you on a journey between the art of fashion, photography, avant-garde designs, and South Africa football nostalgia.
Kasi Flavour10 has worked with a host of brands, including PUMA, Nike, Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates, and Mamelodi Sundowns, along with local football fashion figures such as Vincent Pule, Linda Mntambo and Teko Modise.
Kungwane spoke to us about why working with the aforementioned ballers has helped kill the stereotype on how players are supposed to present themselves:
"It is important for us to connect with like minded footballers, who are expressing themselves in style, because this is what we stand for. It kills the stereotype of footballers that they can't do anything else besides playing, which limits their opportunities off the field..." says Kungwane.
In terms of the agency's recent collaborations with brands, Kungwane got candid about Kasi Flavour10's collaborations with adidas and SuperSport for a documentary:
"adidas contacted us about the Home Of Classics campaign where they have their classic silhouettes/sneakers and we were chosen to represent the Gazelle sneaker that is rooted in football.
"The campaign was around community, and we worked on a simple concept of playing football in the township, and sharing the skill of photography with mates, it came out so authentic and beautiful," he said.
