Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane, despite his elimination from the Nedbank Cup at the hands of Orlando Pirates, has pointed out the positives that he takes from his side's underwhelming season.

The current Chiefs squad, is better, statistically than that of Stuart Baxter and Gavin Hunt according to Zwane.
The 49-year-old was speaking to the media after their Soweto Derby loss to Pirates at the FNB Stadium, which saw Amakhosi miss out on a spot in the final, where Sekhukhune United have since been confirmed as the opponents.
Despite Chiefs' loss Zwane says the current squad he has assembled is more improved than the last three Chiefs squads.
"A lot of people, because of the demands of playing for this team and the expectations will see us as failures – forgetting where we come from. But I understand, I take it like a man, but I'm disappointed. I believe we could have done better," he told journalists.
"Look, we've done a lot of good things. When you compare to where we've come from, changing the squad, it was never going to be easy anyway.
"Hence, I say I am proud of the players. We have two games left and when you look at the stats, and they always say stats don't lie. Check the stats of Kaizer Chiefs three seasons, then you'll see there is a lot of improvement in this squad compared to the previous squads that we have assembled," he said.
