NB La Masia 1-2 Cape Town Spurs
Cape Town Spurs climbed to the top of the table in the penultimate round after a last-gasp 2-1 win over NB La Masia in the penultimate round on Sunday afternoon at Dobsonville Stadium.
Following an action-packed goalless first stanza, Ashley Cupido eventually broke the deadlock for Spurs with 17 minutes remaining from the penalty spot and Yusuf Jappie quickly found the equaliser for La Masia six minutes before time.
However, Mamelodi Sundowns loanee Luvuyo Phewa snatched the winner for Shaun Bartlett's charges in stoppage time with a thumping shot.
Spurs gained a one point lead at the top of the table with one game to go against University of Pretoria next Sunday on home soil.
Casric Stars 1-1 Venda Football Academy
Casric Stars dropped down to second on the table after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Venda Football Academy in the penultimate fixture on Sunday afternoon at Solomon Mahlangu Stadium.
Adepoju Babatunde opened the scoring for Venda on 18 minutes with a strike from a rebound in the box but Thabang Rakwena found the equaliser for Casric eight minutes before the interval.
Casric are one point behind leaders Cape Town Spurs and are left with only one game against All Stars away next Sunday.
Platinum City Rovers 0-2 Polokwane City
Polokwane City kept their hopes of automatic promotion alive after beating Platinum City Rovers 2-0 in the second last game on Sunday afternoon at Olen Park Stadium.
Rise and Shine scored two quick goals in the second stanza, with Francis Baloyi getting the second, as they remained in third place on the table, two points behind leaders Cape Town Spurs.
Polokwane will play their last game against Pretoria Callies next Sunday at home.
