Both Downs and Gallants progressed to the last four of the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederations Cup by beating CR Belouizdad and Pyramids FC respectively.
Having won it with both Sundowns and Al Ahly in the past, Mosimane, who is now in charge of Saudi Arabian outfit Al Ahli Jeddah has commented on the clubs' progress so far.
"SA Football style of play, is just awkward for North African teams, especially when the teams play with controlled arrogance and confidence. SA teams have won continental trophies before and will continue to do so. Anybody underestimating them, will be at their own peril. They won't stop surprising. Viva SA football," he tweeted.
Mosimane has also tipped both teams to go all the way in this year's competitions.
"SA teams do lose some games, and it is normal in football, but now is the time that there should be an understanding and believe that it is doable. 2023 is the Year!"
Sundowns will face Wydad Casablanca in the Champions League semi-final, while Gallants will take on Young Africans from Tanzania in the Confederations Cup.
