The new kits
Banyana Banyana are set to fly the South African flag high at this year's Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, and will have a dazzling new kit to compete in after Le Coq Sportif unveiled the new kits.
As stated on the French sportswear brand's social media accounts, the three kits all carry a distinct meaning and revealed third (alternate) kit first yesterday.
The samples the iconic white away 1998 Bafana World Cup jersey, used at Bafana's first ever FIFA World Cup in France.
Dubbed the 'Legacy' jersey, the Banyana stars who modelled the kit are pictured raising their fists in commemoration of Freedom Day.
The green away kit is a celebration of Banyana's success at last year's Women's Africa Cup on Nations final triumph against hosts Morocco, and sees intricate dark green detailing with gold trimmings on the sides.
The yellow home kit carries the the SA flag in the front and back of the jersey, which embodies patriotisms and the essence of Ubuntu.
