A recent international opponent of Lionel Messi's has revealed what the Argentina captain told him after giving him his match shirt.

The 35-year-old struck a first-half hat-trick in the Albiceleste's 7-0 win over Curacao in an international friendly in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
After the match, the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner agreed to swap shirts with Curacao goalkeeper Eloy Room on a milestone night for the former Barcelona captain.
"The jersey of Messi, it's really special," he said, according to GiveMeSport.
"It's unbelievable, a dream come true. Everybody is a fan of Messi. Now I've played against him.
"It was a tough game, he scored some goals against me but I also saved some good shots from him.
"After that he told me that, too – that I made some good saves – so that means a lot to me."
