Goliath Gaming domination
FIFA gamer Zaid April finished on top at the SAFA eCup, retaining his place in the Bafana Bafana esports team, while his teammates Julio Bianchi and Thabo Moloi finished in the top 5.
The competition formed part of the 2023 FIFAe Nations Cup series where FIFA member associations select their national teams to qualify for the nation vs nation finals in June this year.
April, who's also set to face Kaizer Chiefs' Nkosingiphile Ngcobo in the TTGE Virtual Chief Challenge final, went unbeaten throughout the weekend - stamping his authority has one of the best gamers on the continent.

April beat Kaylan Moodley with an aggregate score of 7-4 in in the final to clinch the major win. Moodley, who also featured in the national team last year, won Mamelodi Sundowns' first ever FIFA championships in December last year.
South Africa's premier esports team, Goliath Gaming, signed April to their organisation last year after April showed his consistency in local tournaments.
