SuperSport United goalkeeper Ricardo Goss feels he has done enough to get a Bafana Bafana call-up, but he is aware that he faces stiff competition from Kaizer Chiefs' Brandon Petersen and Sipho Chaine of Orlando Pirates.
Goss is in the first season of his two-season long loan deal from Mamelodi Sundowns and is playing regularly again, to a point where he feels like he is in a good position to get into Hugo Broos' Bafana Bafana side.

The senior national team has back-to-back 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Liberia in March and Goss has his fingers crossed that he will feature as one of the three goalkeepers in the squad.
Ronwen Williams and Veli Mothwa have been regulars in Broos' squad and it's always that third spot which has been occupied by different goalkeepers, such as Bruce Bvuma and Melusi Buthelezi.
"I think I have done enough, but you know the competition is stiff. You just do what you need to do and the rest is up to the coach," said Goss to the Siya crew.

"Obviously Ronwen has been doing well. There's Melusi, there's Brandon Petersen now and there's also Sipho from Pirates. It's good to see South African goalkeepers starting to feature at the big clubs. It's good for our national team. That's why I say the competition is on another level now."
