Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena has revealed how the team has prepared for the hectic schedule which lies ahead, with the Nedbank Cup and CAF Champions League on the horizon.
Sundowns registered its 13th straight victory in the DStv Premiership when the club beat TS Galaxy 2-0 at Mbombela Stadium on Tuesday, opening up a 19-point lead at the summit of the log.

Mokwena used the opportunity to give some players an opportunity to feature. Denis Onyango, Thapelo Morena, Sifiso Ngobeni, Andile Jali, Sipho Mbule and Siphelele Mkhulise got opportunities to start, while Surprise Ralani, Brian Onyango, Bongani Zungu, Mosa Lebusa and Erwin Saavedra were able to come on from the bench.
"We know about the schedule. We knew about the schedule going into the mini mid-season break. We worked hard to train every player to make sure that every player is ready. This is the situation we find ourselves in. In a big club, you've always got to be ready to play every two or three days and the depth allows us to give opportunities, confidently so. That's what we have to do. The only solution to a hectic schedule is freshness and rotation and to make everybody feel part of the process," Mokwena said after the game
"We've played seven matches in 24 days. It's not easy because that means there's no training, there's no enough time. But we are working a little bit harder to make sure that we continue to improve the team and the individual players that are within the team."

Mokwena did not want to single out player performances, as he congratulated the entire team for registering the win.
"I am not one to speak about individual football players. I am not one to say to the group 'this player, that player'. But there were a lot of very good performances today and a good team performance. Of coure, when you have a good team performance you've got to have some stand out performers. That's what we had on the pitch. Congratulations to everybody."
