Mamelodi Sundowns hammered Kaizer Chiefs earlier this season and, as they prepare to meet again this weekend, Soccer Laduma looks at the Tshwane giant's biggest victories over Amakhosi.
Sundowns, who registered a convincing 4-0 victory over Chiefs in the first of the current campaign, are in good form going into the clash against inconsistent Soweto giants and are favourites to win the match, as they are yet to draw or lose a match since Rulani Mokwena was confirmed as head coach before the FIFA World Cup last year.

Chiefs, meanwhile, suffered defeats to Sekhukhune United and AmaZulu in their last two matches and need a big performance to turn things around against a Sundowns side that is highly organized at the moment.
Sundowns are the favourites and will be looking to repeat some of their most convincing performances against Chiefs. Here, we look back at the Tshwane giants' biggest wins over Amakhosi in the league.
1996/97: Sundowns 3 Chiefs 1
In the inaugural season of the PSL, Sundowns cruised to a 3-1 victory over Amakhosi, thanks to a brace by midfielder Augustine Makalakalane and another from big Nigerian striker Raphael Chukwu. Chiefs' only goal was scored by Thabo Mooki.
1999/00: Sundowns 3 Chiefs 1
Sundowns repeated the same scoreline in 1999/00, overcoming the Soweto giants in a clash which saw Roger Feutmba, Isaac Shai and Michael Manzini getting on the scoresheet. Siyabonga Nomvethe bagged Amakhosi's only goal of the game.

2005/2006: Sundowns 3 Chiefs 1
Sundowns put on another solid display in a 3-1 victory over Amakhosi. Josta Dladla, who would later join Chiefs, bagged two goals for Sundowns while Surprise Moriri got his name on the scoresheet as well. Chiefs' Ugandan attacker David Obua had in fact opened the scoring just after the half-hour mark, but Chiefs went on to suffer defeat.
2015/2016: Sundowns 3 Chiefs 1
Despite opening the scoring through defender Lorenzo Gordinho in the first half, Amakhosi went on to lose this encounter. Sundowns bounced back with goals from Leonardo Castro, Thabo Nthethe and an own goal from Willard Katsande.
2020/2021: Chiefs 0 Sundowns 3
On the opening weekend of the 2020/21, the two giants met at FNB Stadium and Sundowns ran riot, as Peter Shalulile and Kermit Erasmus made good starts by getting their names on the scoresheet in the first stanza. Themba Zwane wrapped it up in the second period with a goal in the final minute of regulation time.
The clash gets underway on Saturday at 8pm.
