Former Orlando Pirates forward Thulasizwe Mbuyane has explained why the signing of Ndumiso Mabena will make a big difference for the side.
The Buccaneers announced the signing of Mabena last week, as the player completed his return to the side after leaving them in 2014 to join Platinum Stars.

Mabena returns to the Soweto giants as a 35-year-old who has gained loads of experience and his style of play has changed as well, as he is able to play in a deeper role where he can support the striker by playing passes into dangerous areas in the opposition box.
Mabena has also grown to be quite the set-piece specialist, which could come in handy for the Buccaneers who are looking to build on from their MTN8 triumph not so long ago. Mbuyane and Mabena were teammates when the Buccaneers won back-to-back trebles between 2010 and 2012.
"Honestly, Pirates needed someone like him in the team. He is a leader and will give shape to the team. He knows Pirates very well. I am close to him. Hence, when we spoke, I told him to go back, because he did well when he was there the first time. So, it was a good time to go back. Madala is a great guy, on and off the pitch," he added.

"He will help the guys a lot. This is a good signing for Pirates. I think they did a wonderful thing because he can contribute a lot. They must just trust him. As long as they do their job, he will definitely play his part."
