Ronaldo Breaks Silence On 'Confirmed' Saudi Arabia Move

Ronaldo Breaks Silence On 'Confirmed' Saudi Arabia Move

Ex-Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has broken his silence after it was reported that he had agreed a big-money move to Saudi Arabia.

Portugal Boss Explains Shock Decision To Drop Ronaldo At World Cup

Earlier this week, publications across the world claimed that the 37-year-old was edging closer to a free-agent transfer to Saudi giants Al Nassr.

Although the club's interest in Ronaldo is well-documented, Ronaldo has now insisted that he is yet to decide his future following his departure from the Red Devils.

"No, that's not true, not true," he told reporters when asked if a move to Saudi Arabia was done, according to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner has been the centre of controversy over the past month after his off-field issues at United ultimately resulted in the mutual termination of his contract in England.

Ronaldo's explosive interview with British broadcaster Piers Morgan preceded his early exit from the Red Devils, leading to concerns that he would be distracted heading into the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

After scoring in A Selecao's first game at the tournament – a penalty in Portugal's win over Ghana – the experienced forward's performances and on-field strop against South Korea last week saw him lose his place in the starting XI for Portugal's 6-1 round of 16 drubbing of Switzerland on Tuesday night.

His replacement in that match, 21-year-old Goncalo Ramos, went on to score a memorable hat-trick in the tie.
