Mokwena and his technical team including first team coach Steve Komphela and senior coach Manqoba Mngqithi jetted out to Qatar where they managed to watch an impressive 17 games in five days, while meeting some high-profile football dignitaries in the process.
But it was back to business for the trio as well as the club's sporting Director Flemming Berg, who had also made the trip.
Upon his return to Chloorkop, Mokwena gave an insight into the team's condition and was full of praise for four players in particular, who along with Rivaldo Coetzee, gave up their two-week holiday to get into their peak physical condition.
"Yeah, they look good like I said, we've got some very good players and some very honest football players, and these are players that are extreme professionals," Mokwena told the club's media department.
"There are people that we really appreciate in the sense that you know, no whining, but you know professionals and players like Bongani Zungu, Marcelo Allende, Gift Motupa and Sipho Mbule these are players that stayed behind and worked a little bit harder on their physical condition and also because the medical department, our physios, our biokineticists also sacrificed their time in not going on holiday with the physical trainers and staying behind and trying to work on that.

"That is the spirit at Mamelodi Sundowns you know, this selflessness and this ability to put the club first and sacrifice a lot of time in assisting," he said.
