Bertrand served Pirates for five years and in that time, he endeared himself to the club's supporters as a popular figure in the marketing department.

In a statement posted on his social media account, without disclosing a reason for his departure, Bertrand confirmed that his time in the Bucs ship has come to an end.

After more than 5 years working for this formidable institution, it is time for me to leave Orlando Pirates, the Football Club I fell in love 20 years ago when I arrived in South Africa. It has been an absolute privilege to work for the Club and try make a little difference where I could in the marketing department.

Thank you to top management for having given me the opportunity to work for Pirates, and grow during my years here. I wouldn't be here without you.

Thank you to all my colleagues at the office - we are from far the best marketing team in SA Sports, and everyone in the industry can attest to that. Let's keep pushing to get this Brand higher and higher.
