Manchester United have issued a statement in response to the recent controversial public comments made by Cristiano Ronaldo.
Man Utd Players 'React' To Ronaldo's Bombshell Interview
The 37-year-old has caused a stir over the last 24 hours after he publicly declared that he feels "betrayed" by the Red Devils and that he does not respect head coach Erik ten Hag.
Ronaldo was speaking in an interview with broadcaster Piers Morgan, with the full transcript reportedly set to be released later this week.
United, meanwhile, have stated that the club will wait for more information on the matter before acting.
"Manchester United notes the media coverage regarding an interview by Cristiano Ronaldo. The club will consider its response after the full facts have been established," a statement on United's website read.
"Our focus remains on preparing for the second half of the season and continuing the momentum, belief and togetherness being built among the players, manager, staff, and fans."
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner has cut a frustrated figure for the majority of this season, with Ten Hag appearing to favour other attackers in his strongest starting XI.
Rooney Slams Ronaldo's Behaviour This Season
Ronaldo first came under scrutiny in pre-season after he left Old Trafford before the full-time whistle, an action he repeated in United's 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur last month in the Premier League.
