What's the story?
With the FIFA World Cup edging ever closer, most of the 31 travelling teams and hosts Qatar will be staying in close proximity to each other.
Teams will have a Team Base Camp (TBC), meaning that all 32 nations will be based at the same facilities throughout competition.
Let's take a closer look!

TBC's for World Cup Teams
24 out of the 32 teams will stay within a 10km radius of each other at this year's World Cup. As per FIFA, Teams will check in at their TBC Hotels at least five days before their first match.
A press release on the FIFA web site explained the TBC concept as a headquarters of a participating team for the period of the World Cup.
The TBC's combine a training site with a top class hotel or another form of accommodation.

FIFA stated that the accommodations ranged from four and five-star hotels to villas, resorts and non-hotel accommodation. That includes sports academy residences and school/university housing.
There will be three types of training sites in use for the tournament: local clubs, cluster training facilities and the usual stadium training sites.
FIFA's Chief Operating Officer for the World Cup, Colin Smith endorses the TBC concept and the close proximity of majority of the teams:
"Players will have more time to train and rest during the competition, while being able to experience the excitement that will take over the country at much closer quarters, as fellow players and passionate fans from all 32 nations will be gathering in a single area."
Unsurprisingly many of these facilities have been built from scratch or renovated.
In July, Al Jazeera published a list of hotels of where the teams will be based.
