"I think to be honest to you a derby game it's always a memory, it's always something good," Maart told SuperSport after he was named Man of the Match.
"I think it will stay in the history books in the derby games and eventually it will show other people in the future what the derby means."
Maart went on to describe what was going through his mind when he saw Mpontshane out of his area after receiving the ball in his own half.

"The first opportunity I passed Khama the ball, Khama (Billiat) told me, 'Check the goalkeeper he's from his line' and then the second time when Khama intercepted the ball, I had already looked up and I just hit it direct," he said.
Maart also expressed gratitude to Pirates after going through their academy ranks but did not get the opportunity to play for their first team.
"Ja, to be honest with you I appreciate them, I thank them for everything and things did not work out, the Almighty put it the other way around and I appreciate it," he added.
